Not too long ago I was in a larger elevator in a hotel in Las Vegas. Imagine around 20 people all as silent as death itself, watching the digital numbers as we rode towards the ground floor. Not a single word. At a certain point I broke the stillness by cheerfully announcing “I’ve got new socks!” …If you can imagine it getting any quieter… it did. Somehow. Then the entire elevator erupted in laughter. Ahhh. The doors opened and you’d think we were having the time of our lives. Sometimes creating memorable moments comes from one single act of sheer lunacy – in the elevator.
